After the murder of her boyfriend, Justine swears violent, bloody revenge. This comic is homage to the revenge films of the 1970’s and 1980’s. (Gator Bait, I Spit On Your Grave, They Call Her One Eye). Reckoning is a story of love, insanity and vengeance. They killed her boyfriend and destroyed her life… Tonight they pay!

RECKONING was initially released in June of 2008. Written by Travis Legge with Pencils and Inks by Santiago Espina, RECKONING was self-published and received a limited release. With over 40,000 views on WOWIO.com, RECKONING was quite popular in its original form…

…but I was never QUITE happy with the way it had turned out.

With the relaunch of Aegis Studios, I have decided to release RECKONING: RE-CUT as a webcomic, which will update Monday-Friday until the full story is told! RECKONING: RE-CUT represents an effort to correct some of the errors in the initial release of RECKONING. Fans of RECKONING will find the font of the first issue changed to match with the subsequent issues, and art mistakes have been tweaked in each issue. A more uniform look has been added to the pages as well.

All of these changes are leading up to the summer release of the RECKONING: ULTIMATE CUT Trade Paperback, which will collect all three issues of RECKONING, updated as you will see here, as well as pinups by several amazing artists at work in the industry, essays onthe making of RECKONING and a few extras that I will announce as the book’s release draws nearer. In the meantime, I truly hope you enjoy this presentation of RECKONING: RE-CUT.
